BOOK REVIEW: Land Of Stories: The Enchantress Returns

Series Title: Land Of Stories

Author: Chris Colfer

Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy

Suggested age range: 11-14 years, Reading level: Slightly longer book, no intricate plot or complex words.

If you liked this book, try; Percy Jackson, Leven Thumps, and the rest of The Land of Stories series

This is the second book in the Land of Stories series; and where their grandma broke the hard news in the end of the first book that Alex and Connor Baily’s dad grew up in there. This time, they’re mom is kidnaped and the Baily twins are placed under house arrest by their own grandma. They escape into The Land of Stories, where the Enchantress (Ezima) has supposedly escaped and is getting stronger. They must collect items from all of the most hated villains and villainesses to make the ultimate weapon to defeat Ezima. My favorite part is when they must get the ice scepter from the Snow Queen. I love when the bears are lying to her and she buys it! My highlight is Sir Lampton. He is such a loyal follower to the Fairy Grandmother, and in return she turns him into a dog and makes him eat dog food and bark like a dog and not talk to Alex or Connor. I liked this book because it had tons of action, and it returns you into a (kind-of) familiar place of story tales.

I rate it 10 out of 10
